You can register for the online course at https://www.citiprogram.org/default.asp which is hosted by the University of Miami. You will assign yourself a username and password. Please write them down as ASU cannot retrieve your password for you.
To Begin using CITI:
- Go to http://www.citiprogram.org/
to register for CITI online training
- Once there, click "New Users Register
Here"
- Next, choose Arkansas State University under
"Participating Institutions". Leave the other
options blank.
- Choose a username and password.
- Enter your First & Last Name and Email
address. Make sure you use an active email
address because this will be the email lost
passwords will be sent to (from CITI - again ASU
does not have access to your
password).
- Fill in the options marked with an asterisk
(*). For "Which course to you plan to take?"
choose one of the 'Basic Human subjects' options
OR one of the 'Refresher Course'
options. If you are a student, under "Role in
human subjects research" choose either 'Student
Researcher - Undergraduate' or 'Student
Researcher - Graduate level'.
- On the next screen, if you are a student,
for Question 1 choose the last option 'Students
conducting no more than minimal risk research'.
Otherwise, choose the appropriate options. For
Question 2, choose N/A unless you have completed
the Basic course from CITI within the last 3
years.
- The last screen shows that you have
successfully registered. Yay!
